This is the first book in the Henry Wright Mystery Series.

Henry Wright, a recent widower, is a retired chief of police from Eagle River, a small town in northern Wisconsin. He is now living quietly in Palm Springs in a mid-century home with his roommate Charles Knightly.

Henry has breakfast once a week with longtime friend Wayne Johnson who heads up the detective squad for the Palm Springs Police Department. One of those breakfasts sends Henry off on a new adventure when Wayne asks him for help in solving a difficult case

Rex Thornbird, one of the most successful realtors in all of Palm Springs is found dead in a large pool of blood in one of the houses he is selling. There are no signs of struggle, no fingerprints, no DNA, nothing to point at the potential murderer.

Henry sets out to uncover the string of satisfied and dissatisfied clients who bought homes from Rex Thornbird. Henry meets an interesting set of individuals and learns something new about his adopted home town. Was Thornbird hiding something from his customers and co-workers? Join Henry in his quest to uncover the truth!
