Henry Wright recently widowed, retired from the Eagle River, Wisconsin police force. He moved to Palm Springs, California, where he bought a mid-century home on Mel Avenue in one of the original sections of Palm Springs. Henry has a reputation among his former colleagues as being able to solve the unsolvable crime. He is called on to put his skills to use by cops around the country as he helps them solve cases.
